job responsibilties
- Manage the company’s accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, management accounts, and performance analyses.
- Lead budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management to support business objectives.
- Monitor revenue, operating expenses, and profitability across travel services, tours, corporate travel, and other business lines.
- Ensure compliance with all tax, statutory, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements.
- Coordinate tax filings, audits, and regulatory submissions in collaboration with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Support fundraising initiatives, financing arrangements, and other capital requirements as needed.
- Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely processing of employee compensation and statutory remittances.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, ensuring high performance, accountability, and continuous development.
requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience within the travel, tourism, hospitality, aviation, or service industry is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian tax regulations, statutory requirements, and financial compliance obligations.
