job responsibilties
- Ensure raw materials are available and issued correctly before production.
- Monitor production output and report variances.
- Support supervisors in meeting daily production targets.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards (HACCP principles, GMP).
- Monitor hygiene practices of production staff.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment and production areas.
- Report any contamination risks immediately.
- Track raw material usage and minimize wastage.
- Assist with stock counts and reconciliation.
- Assist in monitoring product quality during production.
- Ensure proper labelling and packaging standards are followed.
- Document quality checks and production logs accurately.
- Monitor temperature levels of chillers, freezers, and storage rooms.
- Report temperature deviations immediately.
- Ensure finished goods are stored properly to maintain freshness.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
requirements
- HND/BSc in Food Science, Microbiology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP).
- Basic understanding of inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.
