job responsibilties
- Oversee the company’s day-to-day operational activities.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency and productivity.
- Manage inventory, warehousing, logistics, and distribution processes.
- Ensure accurate stock control, inventory reconciliation, and timely product availability.
- Lead and supervise operational teams, ensuring high performance and accountability.
- Develop and improve operational processes, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor operational KPIs and prepare performance reports for management.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, finance, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Drive cost optimization while maintaining excellent service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of operations experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience within the building materials, construction materials, manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale industry is highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing inventory, warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain processes.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP or inventory management systems is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
