job responsibilties
• Producing clear and detailed technical sketches.
• Communicating technical and creative ideas to designers.
• Making sure samples are made on time.
• Participating in meetings with customers and fabric agents.
• Meeting with designers to discuss design concepts and details, taking notes on sketches and mock-ups, and making sure they are implemented in the final product
• Creating sketches of new designs or adapting existing sketches to suit new styles or trends
• Communicating with other members of the design team such as pattern makers, tailors, and seamstresses who will be responsible for creating final products from sketches and patterns
• Creating sketches or mockups of designs for fabric samples or prototypes. May also help choose fabrics and materials with designers or clients to create final products
requirements
• A degree or HND in fashion or textile design, clothing technology or similar.
• Minimum of 2- 3 years’ experience in the Fashion industry and a passion for it
• Must have knowledge of fashion, clothing and textiles
• Must be able to take instructions and work with
• Outstanding attention to details.
• Strong technical skills, including pattern cutting.
