job responsibilties
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and employee orientation processes.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Oversee employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate performance management, staff training, and talent development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory regulations.
- Manage payroll inputs, leave administration, employee records, and benefits administration.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and provide strategic HR support to management.
- Support departmental managers in building high-performing teams that deliver exceptional customer service.
requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years’ progressive HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in the hospitality industry (hotel, restaurant, resort, or related service industry).
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM-CP/SCP, HRCI, or equivalent) is required..
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Laws and HR best practices.
- Experience managing recruitment for operational and customer-facing roles in the hospitality sector.
- Proven experience in employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and staff engagement.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
