job responsibilties
1. Design, review, and supervise the installation of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, pumps, generators, and other building services.
2. Monitor and ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems across projects and properties.
3. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
4. Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and project teams during project execution.
5. Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure work is completed according to standards and specifications.
6. Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules, and project progress reports.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical engineering issues during construction and facility operations.
8. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
9. Support project planning, budgeting, procurement, and cost control activities.
10. Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers and contractors
requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7–9 years of relevant experience, preferably within the real estate, construction, or property development industry.
- Registered membership with relevant professional bodies such as the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria is mandatory.
- Additional professional certifications and memberships such as Nigerian Society of Engineers or other relevant engineering certifications will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and building services engineering.
- Experience managing mechanical engineering projects from design through execution.
- Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
