Responsibilities
● Interpret and review engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to guide project
execution.
● Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with technical designs,
engineering standards, and safety regulations.
● Monitor site operations, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
● Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project
requirements are met.
● Conduct site inspections and enforce adherence to quality, safety, and environmental
standards.
● Prepare construction schedules, work breakdown structures, and project budgets.
● Oversee allocation and utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize
efficiency.
● Track project costs, identify potential overruns, and implement cost-control measures.
● Manage procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of resources and materials.
● Ensure all construction work meets industry standards, client expectations, and
regulatory requirements.
● Perform regular inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
● Monitor adherence to local building codes, zoning regulations, and health & safety
requirements.
● Act as a liaison between the PMO, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory
bodies.
● Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for management
and stakeholders.
● Attend coordination meetings and provide timely feedback on project status and
risks.
● Risk Management & Problem-Solving
● Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
● Resolve technical issues that arise during construction promptly.
● Support the design and implementation of innovative engineering solutions.
● Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate planning
considerations into project designs and timelines.
● Keep updated with industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices in
construction and engineering.
● Foster strong communication and collaboration across teams to enhance project
efficiency and outcomes.
requirements
Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
7–9 years of relevant experience in construction engineering or project supervision within the construction or real estate industry.
Professional certification or membership with relevant engineering bodies (such as COREN or NSE) is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles.
Experience in project planning, scheduling, and site supervision.
Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction projects.
Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, or other relevant tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to resolve technical issues on-site.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with architects, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
