job responsibilties
Develop and implement the organisation’s M&E framework aligned with strategic objectives.
• Design logical frameworks theory of change models, and results frameworks.
• Establish KPIs, performance indicators, and data collection methodologies.
• Ensure alignment of programme activities with impact measurement goals.
• Provide technical guidance to programme teams on M&E best practices.
• Develop and manage data collection tools (surveys, questionnaires, digital forms, dashboards).
• Oversee data quality assurance processes (accuracy, consistency, completeness).
• Establish data storage, protection, and confidentiality protocols.
• Introduce digital data management systems where necessary.
• Build real-time reporting dashboards for internal and donor use.
• Design and lead baseline, midline, and endline evaluations.
• Conduct impact assessments and outcome evaluations.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative research studies.
• Analyse research findings and translate them into actionable insights.
• Prepare donor reports with accurate data and impact narratives.
• Ensure compliance with donor M&E requirements and reporting standards.
• Support proposal development with data, impact metrics, and research insights.
• Provide evidence-based documentation for funding applications.
• Promote a culture of learning and evidence-based decision-making.
• Provide recommendations for programme improvement based on findings.
• Support adaptive programme design using evaluation insights.
• Train programme staff on data collection and monitoring tools.
• Build internal capacity in research methodology and impact measurement.
requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in monitoring and evaluation within development or non-profit sectors.
• Strong knowledge of M&E frameworks (Logframe, Theory of Change, Results-Based Management).
• Experience with research design (qualitative and quantitative).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, STATA, Power BI, KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO, etc.).
• Strong report writing and analytical skills.
• Experience working with donor-funded programmes (e.g., USAID, DFID, World Bank, foundations).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
