job responsibilties
Oversee the day-to-day management and operations of all company facilities.
* Ensure properties are clean, functional, and presentable to clients and stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for equipment, systems and physical structures.
* Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with service providers, including cleaning, security, and maintenance vendors.
* Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
* Ensure all facilities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Implement safety procedures, conduct regular audits, and address any hazards
promptly.
* Manage the coordination of emergency preparedness plans, including fire drills and evacuation protocols.
* Prepare and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in maintenance and repair activities.
* Track expenses, approve invoices, and generate financial reports related to facilities operations.
* Oversee renovation and refurbishment projects to ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
* Provide technical expertise on new construction or remodeling projects, collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers.
* Manage and mentor facilities staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
* Assign tasks, conduct performance reviews, and support team members’ professional development.
* Identify and implement energy-saving measures to reduce operational costs and the environmental impact of company facilities.
requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or a similar role, with at
least 2 years in a leadership capacity. Skills & Competencies:
* Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
* Proficiency in facilities management software (e.g., CMMS).
* Excellent project management and organizational skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse
teams.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
* Budget management and financial acumen.
Certifications (Preferred):
* Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
* Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation
