job responsibilties
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and budgets.
Monitor and ensure timely submission of tax returns and regulatory filings.
Conduct variance analysis to explain discrepancies between budgeted and actual financial performance.
Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliation.
Ensure proper documentation, maintenance, and reconciliation of financial records.
Review and approve journal entries, invoices, and expense claims.
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial strategy.
Monitor budget utilization and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Provide financial insights to support operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies
Prepare presentations and financial briefings for senior management and the board of directors.
requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required).
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent (highly desirable).
Minimum of 4-5years of progressive experience in finance and accounting,
Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), and tax compliance.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
Leadership abilities to manage and mentor team members effectively.
