job responsibilties

Start Date: 03/01/2023 Job Responsibilities • Reviewing plans and designs created by architects to ensure compliance with city planning and environmental regulations; • Communicating with management to discuss project goals and expectations; • Overseeing the hiring of subcontractors as needed projects; • Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed on site; • Coordinating with other team members to schedule work activities and track progress; • Maintaining records of work performed on each project including expenses and materials used; • Managing the project budget by ordering supplies and labor as needed; • Ensuring confidentiality and professional integrity is upheld at all times; • Being flexible, adaptable and available to take on other tasks or duties as they arise; • “Always consult” by providing management with the very best service and advice to nurture relationships. • Take responsibility for own continuous professional development by proactively identifying and participating in formal/informal learning opportunities.

requirements

• Bachelor’s or HND degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Bio-engineering or equivalent subject; • Relevant 3-5 years professional experience in a similar role and environment. Prior experience in landscape architecture is a plus; • Knowledge and experience of landscape and nursery operations; • Management/ supervisory skills and experience of managing landscape teams an advantage; • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Outlook, Teams and One Drive; • Working knowledge of illustration applications like Adobe Illustrator, Autocad and Sketchup; • Tech-savvy. • Results – oriented and pragmatic with exceptional problem solving and decision making skills; • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; • Emotionally intelligent; • Excellent and precise communication & presentation skills; • Comfortable and effective in managing and communicating with team members and stakeholders based remotely or travelling in different time zones; • Ability to deliver results with low levels of supervision
