Many years ago, I started working with corporate organisations and Medium scale businesses looking to hire top talent. I was exposed to hundreds of candidates vying for positions in my clients organisations. However, I noticed what hiring managers looked out for when making a decision on whom to interview, and whom to hire and what seperated the candidates who got jobs from those who did not (sadly we had a larger number in the latter group).
This created a need to start working with candidates looking to become more employable and access better job opportunities.
As I began to have private consultations with candidates, I began to identify the mistakes they made right from the start of their career journey.
The difference between candidates who snatched their dream jobs and had thriving careers and those who didn’t is that those who did, intentionally positioned themselves for success.
Most people believe that careers are created by luck and chance. However, I believe that careers are built with definitive actions, the right tools, resources, strategies and support.
